It was a packed day as we wrapped up all the scenes from the film set in Dot's bedroom. When making a film, you often think in terms of amount of pages that you shoot in a day and on this particular day we were every bit of 9 and 1/2. For context, movie scripts are about 100+ pages in length so we almost shot about 10% of the film in a single day! (We won't always be shooting that many pages in a single day as some scenes require more work to do based on a variety of factors).
Wrapping (film slang for being finished with a day, an actor, a set, etc.) Dot's bedroom was bittersweet for the cast and crew as it was a pivotal location in the series. Due to a change in our production location, we had to recreate the bedroom as faithfully as we could for the film so there's some differences that will be fun for you to try and spot. We also snuck in a few Easter eggs in the background. 😄
We build in an off day for our crew every six days and we always make that day a Sunday, so we'll be off tomorrow to rest and get ready for a big week of shooting starting Monday. Stay tuned for more!
